Santa made it!!!

We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. At our house we officially started the count down at 45 days and we made it.
Sydney and Kaden got up at 4:30 this morning well Kaden wouldn't have gotten up but we are sure his sister woke him up. So we had them go back to bed until 6:30.

Christmas Program

Last night was Sydney's Christmas program. She did an awesome job, and to our surprise she also had a xylophone solo in a song named CCCCCC-cold.

Seasons Greetings!!!

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.
In the anticipation of Christmas we went and cut down our tree a little early. Kaden for the last two months has just been beside himself with anticipation for this time of the year, and he could not wait to cut down a tree.

Kadens four wheeler goes everywhere he does if possible.
This is the tree we cut down.

Happy Holidays!!!

Christmas Crafts

Well lately I have had a new obsession with Craft blog Surfing, there are some amazingly creative people out there. My sister Jennifer called me the other day and we sat on the phone and surfed for craft projects for about and hour and a half, it was alot of fun and now I am hooked. Here are some of the projects that I have found and made for myself. I wish I could claim the ideas for my own.
There are probably some other things that I could be doing around my house, but they might just have to wait.

Don't worry I will not be hanging it on my door until after Thanksgiving, we just wanted to see how it turned out.

Instructions:

1. Find some ornaments that you love.

2. Hot glue the tops of the ornaments on.

3. String the Ornaments on a clothers hanger wire.

4. Twist the ends of the wire together and find a piece of clother or ribbon to hang it with.

Happy Halloween

Halloween is here once again, my kids were on a super hero kick this year. We carved pumpkins, attended the school Halloween carnival and received tons of candy seekers.
Is it just me or do my kids look like deer in headlights

Halloween Preview

This week we had a primary Halloween activity, there is nothing like getting two bags full of candy and the thought that we get to do it again next week.
We played all of the classic party games they got to go fishing and play toss the ring on the witches hat, and of course we went trunk or treating.

Snow

This week we woke up to our first snow. Thankfully it was only about an inch, and I am just hoping that this is not a sign of the kind of winter we are going to have.
Sydney and Kaden were excited to try it out.

Lindsay's wedding

On friday Lindsay and Jeremy were married in the Salt Lake Temple. It was a great trip We spent the afternoon on Temple square then there was a lunchion at This is the Place Visitor center, then a wonderful reception at the Joseph Smith Memorial building.

At the reception there was plenty of great food, you can't go wrong with a chocolate bar.

Elk Hunting

Well Kiley was successful. You will have to ask him the story, it gets more exciting every time.

Nothing like fresh Raspberries!!!

This last weekend we went and picked Raspberries. I didn't really know what to expect but it was alot of fun. First you had to get used to being surrounded by bees, we probably missed some really good ones because of them, but that is OK.

We also eat our fair share.
Here is picture of Kaden he maybe picked 10 total, but he had to hold the bucket that had the most.

Oh, a hunting we will go

The hunt started this weekend, Kiley drew an Green Mountain Elk tag. So he spent most of the weekend hunting. We joined him on Sunday night, and Sydney also went hunting.

Off to Preschool

Today is Kaden's first day of Preschool.
He will get to go one day a week for 3 hours he is really excited. His class is right in the elementary school, which is also right across the street from our house. Ms. Applegate is his teacher and hopefully he behaves himself as many of you know he can be a handfull but I think this will be a great learning experience for him.

Sydney's big day

Sydney has been counting this day for a month and it doesn't help that her brothers b-day is exactly a week before hers.
So we start off the festivities on Thursday by taking Cookies to Sydney's class.
Then on Friday she had a birthday party with some of her friends. They made airplanes played at the park and had plenty of sweets.

In the evening she opened presents from her Family.

7 years old!!

Back to School

Well today is officially the first day of school, Sydney is starting second grade and she is really excited. She woke up early this morning and she put on her sparkliest outfit. Kaden was a little mad that he didn't get to go to Preschool this morning, but his turn will come next week.

I tried to get Kiley to let me take his first day of school picture also in front of some flowers but he told me NO, so I figured this was better than nothing.

3 Years Old

Today Kaden turned 3 years old. This was the last weekend before school starts so we decided to go campin also. Kaden had a great birthday party in the camper, and we went 4 wheeling which is one of his favorite things to do.

We had Ice Cream and Cake and he recieved clothes, a race track for all of his many cars and also a car city. They will bring him hours of joy.
What a cutie Pie, but don't let this cute picture fool you either.

Spraque and Randall Reunions

This last week we had the opportunity to go to Cedar City for two Family Reunions. First was the Spraque Reunion hosted at the Chatfields house, it was alot of fun, and the turn out was awesome, but as you can see I did not get any pictures which was a bummer.
Later in the week Mariam and I took all of the kids to Washington to there new water park, it was a blast. They had a lazy river, tons of slides, and a awesome hydro tube.

Kaden and Micah were the first to get tired out.

For the Randall reunion we had a service project and Grandma Randalls and then we headed out to the Old Iron Town.

I just loved this picture of Kaden with his tough guy pose.
Sydney standing out side of one of the old firing kilns.

Yellowstone/Roundy Reunion

On Thusday we left for Yellostone, we drove through the West side of yellowstone were we say buffalo and elk. We stayed up in Gardiner, Montana. On the second day we left really early with hopes of seeing a bear but we did not have any luck. We say more elk, buffalo, white tail deer, and pelicans which sydney thought was pretty cool.

Then on Friday we headed down to star valley for the annual Roundy Reunion, we stayed at the Botkins house in Smoot. I all had a good time on Saturday Aunt Laura had some family olimpics planned which tested all of our abilities. She is a very creative woman. Then on Friday and Saturday we enjoyed some fireworks.

Flowers

We just wanted to show off some of the flowers that we have grown this year. Most of them we have done from seed.

This is my new favorite flower (Cosmos). Easy to grow and, very very hardy.

I love these dainty little blue and white ones.
This is Sydneys favorite, Pink.
