Christmas Program
Oh Christmas Tree!!!
Saturday we made our way up the mountain, to cut down another Christmas tree. It is scary to realize how quickly the year has gone by.
This year the weather was beautiful but, we had to hike through about 2 feet of snow to find that perfect tree.

Sydney and Kaden also did a great job decorating.
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
We hope that everyone had a great thanksgiving. We want to say thanks to Richard and Cheron for hosting us again this year, it is always great to see them and their kids. Thanksgiving is one holiday that I am horrible at taking pictures at, I guess I would rather eat. But on the day after Riley and Madison did take us to a great sledding spot.
Kaden got a face full of snow and he wasn't very happy about it.
Pheasant Hunting
Happy Halloween!!!
We hope everyone had a great Halloween. Sydney decided that this year she wanted to be Princess Leah, and Kaden had a little bit harder time deciding, but he finally settled on being a bat. They were both very excited when the time finally came to dress up.
Friday night we attended the Wind River Halloween Carnival and both our kids decided for the first time to try out the Spook ally, Sydney went through first with a group of her friends. There is nothing like listening to 4 eight year olds scream their heads off. Kaden had the most frieghtening scream that I have ever heard I have never laughed so hard.
Saturday we attended the ward chili cook off and Trunk or Treat.

Finally Moving In
Total Boy!!!
A couple of weeks ago Kaden figured out how to ride without training wheels. He was so proud of himself. Know the only thing he wants to do is ride his bike with of course the hidden agenda of finding puddles to ride through. He loves bumps the bigger the better, and anything down hill were he can get going as fast as he can, (can we say dare devil).

Sydney's Baptism
Happy Birthday
I know it is a little late but Sydney's Birthday was on Saturday and like Kaden she got to spend her birthday at the house working. Oh the memories they will have. Sydney turned the big wonderful 8.

Back to School
Happy B-day Kaden
Today is Kaden's Birthday and he has turned the big 4.
What all can I say about Kaden, well for one thing he a little ball of energy and he gives his parents a run for their money every single day. He loves and I mean loves Hummers, Jeeps, trucks, and we can not for get anything that looks like bumble bee (Camaros). His new found love is going for as many bike rides in the course of a day as his parents will take him on, with the hiden agenda to find and ride through as many puddles as possible.
He is also a very smart little boy and loves to use that knowledge finding ways to tease his sister.
A much needed break
This week we were finally able to take a break from the house, so Sydney really wanted to go fishing and of course Kaden wanted to ride the 4 wheelers so we were able to do both. We went up in the wind rivers and road the 4 wheelers in to a little brook that is alot of fun to fish in. Sydney learned to put her own worm on her hook and towards the end she was also taking the fish off of the hook all by herself.
Yellowstone!!!
Thursday we decided to take a trip to Yellowstone with all of the Steffensen clan and Grandma and Grandad. We spent alot of time in the car but the beauty of Yellowstone is always worth it. We started our day with a picnic lunch and Old faithful. Yellowstone has so many guysers and hot spring that is impossible to visit them all in one day.
The animals of yellowstone are just as impressive, I can not even remember all of the animals that the kids recorded in their animal guides, but the most impressive was a grizzly bear with her three cubs and the amazing Yellowstone Bison.
We were so excited to have all of the Steffensens and Grandma and Grandad. Thanks for making the long journey.
Martins Cove
This week we have had some wonderful visitors, Grandma and Grandad Chatfield and Aunt Mariam and her kids. So Tuesday while Kiley and Grandad went to work on the house the rest of us headed over to Sixth crossing and Martins Cove. We pulled some hand carts, visited a blacksmith shop and all of the kids compleated their activity books so everyone recieved a prize.

Last day of School
Hip Hip Hooray for the last day of school, 2nd grade has finally come to an end. Sydney had a great school year, this year she had alot of firsts, she participated in the cup stacking competition she did jump rope for heart, towards the end of the year she also started riding her bike to school.
