Merry Christmas

We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas.
Sydney has been antisipating this day for two months and I think she enjoyed herself. She woke up at 1:30 this morning to find that Santa had come but was not able to open anything until Kaden got up at 7:00. It was a long night for all of us.

Kaden got a hot wheels track

Sydney recieved her first set of Christmas Legos and was able to put most of it together all by herself.

The Month of December So Far......

Last night Sydney had her School Christmas Program. After, Santa came so Kaden got to have his first real Santa Experience. He was all ready, he was going to ask for a football and cars but as you can see he freaked out. Sydney felt she didn't neet to sit on his lap because she has already written him two letters in the last week.Cutting down our Chrismas Tree

Happy Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we went to Logan to spend it with Kiley's Aunt Cheron and Uncle Richard. We all had a good time Cheron did a great job on dinner and dessert was also delicious. I am sorry to say but the only picture I got was of Kaden enjoying a big slice of Pumpkin Pie.

Duck Hunting

Kiley, Richard, Richard, Ryan and Boomer duck hunting in Idaho on bear river. No one was successful.

Veteran's Day

At Wind River Elementary Sydney participated in her second Veteran's Day program. Each grade got to sing a song. Kaden and I ended up leaving after the first grade song because Kaden decided it would be funny to through his cars at the first graders.

Happy Halloween!

We hope everyone had a great Halloween.
Our Charlie Brown and Daisy attended the School Carnival, were they played games and won lots of candy. Then we took them Trick of Treating to a couple of houses here in Pavillion.

Kaden thought the whole thing was disgusting.

Candid Photos

Here are just some cute pictures that we took this week of our two cute kids.
Sydney had a blast getting her face and hands painted at the homecoming game.

We have also spent a little time this week at the wood shop working on some projects, Kaden loves every minute of it. He collects his own logs and playes in sawdust.
I also found him this week in the dryer. I was in the middle of getting another load and came back to find him inside.

First Snow

It started snowing on Thursday night and didn't stop until this morning (Sunday). 14 inches total is what we received. Sydney couldn't wait to make her first snow angel and Kaden just liked being out in it until his hands got cold. Saturday we made a snowman in the back yard, and took the 4 wheeler out for some good donuts in the snow. Today the snow man turned into a sled ramp.

How CUTE!!!

Elk Hunt 2008

Not much of an elk huh? I was on my way back to the truck when I jumped this cougar with her two kittens... When she saw me her kittens bolted and she ran straight at me hissing and roaring... I unshouldered my gun and yelled at her, but when I yelled she leaped at me from about 10 feet away. I stepped to the side and pulled the trigger from a hip shot position. The shot hit her in the neck and came out where you can see just behind the left shoulder. I really believe that she was protecting her kittens by "attacking" the threat..... After I changed my pants, the voice of my mother kept coming to mind, "make sure you don't go by yourself".

I called it in to the game and fish department that night and took the ranger into the kill site this morning. He aged the lion at about 6 years of age and around 130 pounds (a little less than my muscular 148). He took a statement and said I did the right thing.

YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!

Logs, Logs and more Logs

This summer we have cut a lot of poles, 10 cords in all, 5 trips, but we have enjoyed every minute of it. Kaden loves collecting his own sticks and this time Sydney enjoyed finding leaves that have already started to change for fall.

Kaden taking a breather

We are finished!
A few of you have asked what the logs are for, Kiley has a log furniture class this year, and for our own creations as well.

Excitement in Pavillion

This last year they built a new elementary school here in Pavillion, which is located right behind the old Elementary. The new playground is going to be located where the old elementary is right now. So this week they finally started demolition, and for those of you that have never been here the school is right across the street, so Kaden has been loving it. Here he is eating a popsicle and watching the show.

How it looks now!

Happy B-Day Sydney!!!

As you can see August is a busy month at our house, from family reunions to birthdays and going back to school there is never a dull moment. Not to mention the fact that we have eaten two cakes in the last week, and delivered ice cream to Sydney's first grade class.

Sydney received a horse jewelery/music box that she has been eyeing for awhile now.

She also wanted a horse cake but as you can see we had a little trouble.

1st Grade

Today is the first day of school.

1st Grade

Sydney gets to have the same teacher that she had for Kindergarten. She also gets to go to a whole new elementary school. She is excited.

The Big "2"

Kaden turned 2 today, (August 21st) I guess now we have an excuse for is behavior. His birthday was pretty low key but of course he didn't care, he just couldn't figure out why everyone was singing this funny song to him all day. By the end of the day he was sick of the attention.

He received his first tool set, and clothes from his grandparents.
Thanks so much!!!
