Merry Christmas

We wanted to say Merry Christmas to all of our family and friends.  We hope you have had a great Holiday Season.
Love,
Christy, Kiley, Sydney and Kaden

December

As we all know December can be a busy month.  We started off the Holiday Season with our ward Christmas Party,  Sydney and Kaden both participated in the program, Kaden as a Shepherd and Sydney an angel.

We also delivered and received our share of treats and watched every Christmas movie we could.  One of Kaden's Highlights was making our annual gingerbread house.
And of course it is not Christmas with out Grandmas Randall's Christmas Eve Pajama gift.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving and want to say thanks to all the family that came to visit.

Everyone arrived on Wednesday afternoon, Sydney and Kaden had been counting down the days and couldn't contain their excitement when everyone arrived.  Wednesday night we took all the kids swimming at Grandma and Granddads hotel. Then on Thursday morning all of the men and boys went pheasant hunting, but sadly were unsuccessful.  Grandma also brought projects to keep all the kids entertained until dinner time. They made pinecone bird feeders, chalk place card settings for everyone and she taught them how to weave yarn animals.

Then of course on Thanksgiving we had a great dinner followed by plenty of pie and ice cream.

Friday morning Kiley and McKade attempted another Pheasant hunt, after they returned we loaded everyone up and headed out to cut down three Christmas trees.

Snowman

This weekend we built our first Snowman of the winter,  the snow was really dry so of course it didn't stick together very well,  so we did the best that we could.    Afterwards it was used for a snowball fight.

I am sure there will be many more snow storms to come.

Happy Halloween

We hope everyone had a great halloween.  Saturday we carved our pumpkins, then on Monday we hit the Main street trick or treating and some of our neighbors.  Kaden was just as excited for the ones that knocked on our door.  They whole time we were out and about he kept asking who was going to answer the door for them.

I would have to say Halloween was everything they had hoped it would be.

Random

I feel like it has been awhile since I have posted anything,  so I figured I would post some random pictures of some things that we have been up to.

Soccer has come to an end.  Kaden had a good time learning the game and in the meantime had a lot of fun.  At the end of every practice they played tails, which he took pretty seriously.

We have also spent a lot of time outside enjoying the beautiful fall weather. We know it is going to be coming to an end shortly.
Sydney has spent a lot of time this summer attracting birds to our backyard.  The other day I found her outside sitting very still with bird seed in her hand.  She has wanted a bird to eat out of her hand for some time now,  but it didn't work. Maybe next time.

A week of Hunting

Fall has been filled with quite a few hunting trips.  Last week Kiley, Sydney, Kaden and Dash went duck hunting,  but they came back empty handed, it is still a little to warm, and of course that made Sydney happy.

Kiley and Kaden went on their first antelope hunt this weekend.  Kaden loved every minute of it, especially the shooting part.
Kaden already has plans of glueing the head to his bedroom wall.  We are so proud.

Soccer

Kaden finally gets his turn to play soccer.  He has watched Sydney from the side line for a few years now.  He was a little apprehensive but once he got out there he had a great time.

First Day of School

Today was the first day of school.  Sydney started 4th grade at Rendezous and Kaden started Kindergarten at Aspen park, both were very excited.

Sydney's Birthday

Sunday was Sydney's Birthday she has graduated to the ripe old age of 9.   For her birthday she decided that she wanted to go fishing, and she out fished everyone.

A little about Sydney:

1st: She loves animals and has a heart for even the smallest bug.  She is constantly trying to catch them so that we do not smash them.
2nd: She is Smart, and has a brainy sarcastic sense of humor.
3rd: She is very very organized and hates even the thought of being late.

Happy Birthday Kaden

Kaden has finally turned the big 5.  He has been waiting for this day for a long time now, and Sunday it finally came.  He has had his birthday list hanging on the fridge and number one was his own blue remote control helicopter.

Kaden:
1st- He is a ball of energy
2nd- Loves, fast cars, helicopters, hummers,  and anything that is tough and as he would put it awesome.
3rd- He also makes us laugh on a regular basis.
4th- He also has a mischievous side, we will for sure have our hands full as he gets older.

 Happy Birthday Kaden

Randall Reunion

This year the Randall reunion was held in Heber, UT at the Heber Mountain Girls Camp. We were able to stay in the Majorie Pay Hinckley Camp Grounds. What a beautiful place to be able to spend the weekend. We had two fawns that spent their day wandering in and out of camp, we also were able to see a mother moose and her calf.

On Saturday we were able to participate in a challenge course, Sydney and Kaden both did an awesome job. They both faced their fear and came out on top.

Sprague Reunion

We had a great time at the Sprague reunion, which was held in Cedar City, at Grandma and Granddad's house.

The festivities began Friday night with dinner, then on Saturday we headed out for Kanarraville falls, once we reached the falls we had lunch. Afterwards we all headed back to enjoy a soak in the swimming pools followed by dinner, a dessert bar and fireworks.

A Little Fishing

Fishing up at Rock creek in the Wind Rivers

California Here We Come!!!

This summer we were lucky to be able to take a trip to California with Grandma Chatfield and the Steffensen Clan. We had a blast!

First our trip took us to the Beach, were Sydney and Kaden got to see the ocean for their first time, and they spent a couple of hours looking for sea shells and building sand castles.

Kaden mad because he didn't want to stick his feet in the water.

Kiley and Sydney digging for sea shells.

Then we went to Sea World, Sydney couldn't contain her happiness she had a smile on her face the entire time.

It took everything Kaden could muster to touch a star fish. Can you see the disgust on his face.

Before & After

We just wanted to show off all of the hard work that we have put into our yard, and we think it is coming along nicely.
Before
After

It is amazing what a little green can do.

Stuck in the Mud!!!

This week we went for one of our annual log cutting trips, up to Green Mountain, and as is our luck we got a little stuck. We didn't realize the amount of rain that had taken place up there the day before, and of course it was in an area with NO cell service.

Sydney and Kaden came to the conclusion that we would be living up there and that we would have to survive on Mud. Why Mud, I don't know.

It took a lot of rocks logs and digging, but 3 hours later we finally got ourselves out.
