We hope everyone has a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
The Perfect Christmas Tree
The day that Kaden looks forward to all year long finally comes the day after Thanksgiving. So on Friday we got out all of the Christmas decorations, and even ventured out to cut down a tree. And as usually I think we found the perfect one.
This year the weather was perfect, no wind, warm weather and very little snow.

Fall Sports
Soccer and Football are sadly coming to an end. Sydney has enjoyed playing soccer, it is fun to see them figure out the game, and improve.
Kaden is finishing his first year of flag football, and he has enjoyed every minute of it.

Backpacking
We decided to get in one last summer adventure before school started. We rode the 4 wheelers into Christina lake which was about a 9 mile ride. Once we reached the wilderness boundary we strapped on the backpacks and hiked in to Lower Atlantic Lake which was a 2 miles hike. Once we reached our camping spot of choice we fished, set up camp, fished some more, cooked dinner and then we were off to bed.
In the morning we hiked up the stream with hopes of catching some Golden trout. Sydney and Kaden were both successful. After lunch we began the long trek home.
Roundy Reunion
The Roundy Reunion was held in Star Valley Wyoming Aunt Karol and Uncle Gary's house. We started off Friday night attending our first Rodeo. Sydney's favorite was watching the bronc riders. Kaden just wished he could be riding the carnival rides. Saturday we participated in a scavenger hunt that took us all around the valley. We started off at the grover cemetery and ended at Great Grandma Hillstead's house in Fairview.
Later that afternoon we hit some carnival rides, saw lots of animals and enjoyed wonderful carnival food like, Funnel cakes and Cotton Candy. We ended the evening eating and spending time with family. Sunday it was back to normal life.

Randall Reunion
The Randall Reunion this year was in Heber, UT. We spent Friday night reacquainting our selves with relatives that we have not seen in a year. Then Saturday we started out with a cope course, which Sydney was able to complete twice and Kaden had the opportunity of climbing the rope ladder. After lunch we headed out to the lake and spent time canoeing. We ended the weekend with an all you could eat home aid ice cream feast.

A Family Adventure
This last week we had a house full of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Grandparents. We all had a blast. We spent our days lounging by the pool, eating, and hiking up to the Sinks Canyon waterfalls.
We had a group full of awesome hikers, with a little bit of help everyone made it to the falls.
Summer!!!
So far this summer we have been lucky to spend time with Family. We attended the Chatfield Reunion, build tree forts at Grandma Chatfield's House, and swam at the City Aquatic Center.
We have spent lots of time swimming in the pool in the back yard. Fished up at Rock Creek.

What a Day!!!
Thursday we took off bright and early for an all day adventure. We started off riding the 4wheelers in to the Shoshone National Forest Wilderness, which was about a 3 mile ride. Then we started hiking, we hiked for about 1/2 a mile until we came to upper Silas Lake. Where the wonderful adventure of fishing started. In Upper Silas lake Sydney and Kaden caught Cut Throughts and Brookies. Next we hiked 2 miles up to Atlantic Lake. the fishing was not quit as good but the view was spectacular.
After Fishing Atlantic Lake for awhile we headed back down to Upper Silas, Fished, Hiked back to the 4wheelers, and rode to the truck. When the day was done we had hiked about five miles rode for about 6 miles, and caught lots of fish.

Baseball Has Come to an End
Kaden's first season of baseball has come to an end. This year he played Teeball and he enjoyed every minute of it. Kaden loves to try new things and I think Baseball has been one of his favorites.
School has Officially Come to an End
Summer vacations as officially started. Sydney and Kaden both had a great school year. Sydney as usual amazed us with her academic success. She received straight A's for the entire school year.
Kaden also did great he received awards for being responsible and behavior (we never would have guessed).
Memorial Day
We started Memorial Day Weekend out attempting a camping trip. We headed up to the Mountains Saturday afternoon, it was cold but nothing a big fire couldn't fix. In the morning we woke up to snow on the ground and freezing cold wind. So we loaded up the four wheelers and camping equipment and headed home.
Everyone was looking forward to the fishing. So Monday we head back up the Mountain and fished Saw Mill Creek.
