Kaden got to go Spelunking on a school Field Trip, he is part an after school math and science club, and for the last month they have been studying caves. So last week they went on a guided tour to Sinks Canyon to explore a cave. He love it. The highlight of the trip was seeing a bat, and an underground river.
Fun in the Snow
After we got back from Cedar City we had a awesome snow storm, we were only suppose to get 1 to 2 inches but woke up to about 8 inches instead. So we got outside and made the most of it.
Cedar City
We headed down to Cedar City the day after Christmas to visit Family. We hit up our usual fun spots, we bowled a few games at the Bowling alley, lets just say we all need to work on our game. We ice skated at the new city ice skating rink. Spent time with Grandparents, and had quite a few sleep overs with Cousins. On New Years Sydney with the help from her cousins was the only one to make it to midnight
Kaden has been dying to try his hand a skiing, so we made the trek up to Eagle Point, McKade joined us on our adventure. The first run down the slope took about an hour and a half, there were a few times we thought about giving up, but after that it was all down hill, and by the end of the day he could make the run without crashing once. HE LOVED IT, and I think he is hooked.
Happy Thanksgiving
We had a eventful Thanksgiving. As Thanksgiving usually does it started the day before with cooking pies and whatever else could be done ahead of time. This year Sydney made the Pumpkin pie which is one of her favorites, and Kaden helped Kiley prepare the turkey which of course is one of his favorites.
Thursday morning we started the day off with a pheasant hunt, and a little bit of arguing, Sydney and Kaden didn't want to have anything to do with it. But by the end they had a good time.
Kaden fell into the river up to his knees and of course I had to get in to pull him out. Kiley didn't shoot anything, and Sydney just enjoyed being outside looking for birds. Afterwards we went home and had a great Thanksgiving dinner.
We have many things to be grateful for. We have been blessed with a wonderful family, which of course includes all of our Grandparents, Cousins, Aunts and Uncles. We have great friends, and of course the gospel.
Happy Thanksgiving
