Memorial Day

We started Memorial Day Weekend out attempting a camping trip.   We headed up to the Mountains Saturday afternoon, it was cold but nothing a big fire couldn't fix.  In the morning we woke up to snow on the ground and freezing cold wind.  So we loaded up the four wheelers and camping equipment and headed home.

Everyone was looking forward to the fishing.  So Monday we head back up the Mountain and fished Saw Mill Creek.

Hershey Track Meet

Sydney and Kaden both participated in the Hershey track Meet this week, and they both did awesome. Sydney was a little scared to race a longer distance this year but she faced her fear and came out on top. She took first in the 400 and 200.  Kaden ran the 50 and 100 and took 4th and 3rd.  It was a wonderful evening and we can't wait until we can do it again next year.

All in a Days Work!

While washing the car Saturday morning, Kiley and Kaden were confronted by a rogue sow prairie dog. She came out of her den and threatened their lives. Kiley and Kaden defended themselves with a bow and arrow. It was over quickly with a 20yd shot to through the lungs. Kaden was very excited and impressed.

Later that afternoon we took of for our first 4 wheeling ride of the season.

Soccer and Science Fair Come to an End

This week Kaden had his last soccer game.  He had a great season and had lots of fun. One thing about  Kaden is he never takes anything to seriously.

Now he is on to baseball.

The science fair also came to a conclusions for Sydney this week. Sydney is a perfectionist and for a month she has put a lot of work into her project.  Science is her favorite subject and we are proud of how hard she worked.

Kindergarten Program

This last week kaden had his kindergarten music program.  We never realized there were so many jungle themed songs.  He had a blast every song had is own set of hand motions, and it is funny how much energy this age group can have.  We were proud of him for working so hard.

Hard Work Pays Off

Kiley and Kaden decided that they wanted to build a water feature in the back yard.  So a couple of weeks ago it started with the digging of the whole.  Kaden was ready to finish the whole project the day they started it, but he didn't realize what was all going to have to go into it.  So after a couple trips to Home Depot, about three trips out to find rocks and a lot of digging and moving of rock,  it is finally complete.  The look on Kaden's face was priceless when he was finally able to see the water fall in action.

Kaden as also turned out to be a little slave driver,  making sure we all work as hard as we can and giving us a hard time when we sit down to take a rest.

It still needs a few cosmetic finishes like plants and according to Sydney Fish,  but it has made Kadens day.

Easter

We had a great Easter!  Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Jeremy let us raid their house for the weekend, which was filled with Cousins, Easter eggs, pinatas and the Hogle Zoo.

Saturday morning started off with a chili trip to the zoo.  Kaden was determined to have his picture taken with every animal, and Sydney was determined to take a picture of every
animal.

The Boys have to stick together
After the zoo we headed back over the Lindsay's for a Easter egg lunch hunt.  Which was followed by some Pinatas.
